This overprotection breakout board uses the HWCT004 micro precision current transformer which can handle a maximum input current of 50A. You can adjust the threshold current with the onboard potentiometer to have it shut off the inline relay when the threshold current is reached. This is an easy way to put an overcurrent protection circuit into your project without having to design the circuit yourself.
